Updates and Question Game

Hey guys. First and foremost, thank you to everyone for the positive vibes and for your care. I am feeling better. I went to see my doctor today for my follow up check-up, she extended my antibiotics till next week because one side of my tonsils still has a lot of white patches of pus! Ewww much?! Speaking of white patches, remember how I told you guys both tonsils were covered in them, well the ones on the left side is gone. I wonder where they went? Did they magically disappear? Or did I swallow them (ewwwww)?! My mouth tastes bitter, no matter how many times I brush my teeth or gargle some peppermint mouthwash it still tastes bitter! Oh but the important thing is that I am no longer in pain. Wooohoooo!

Over my absence from the blogosphere for the past few days, I realized I lost 1 follower. Where'd you go? But for those who stuck around, thanks so much. mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So, now enough drama, let's play tag. I owe this tag to the lovely, fierce blogger MISERY from LEFTOVERS from ILLUMINATION . I've been following her blog for a few months now and I am definitely going to be a long time follower of her blog. Awesome is an understatement to describe her blog, which has a little about everything, from fashion to being more personal like what she did today. The best thing I love about her blog is that she interacts with her readers. At the end of every post she always asks about how her readers are doing, or she asks them something related to her post. What are you guys waiting for, go on...visit her blog.

So now for her tag:

1) A vampire or a wizard (and why)???

I think I would rather be a wizard or a witch. I’d be a good witch. I’ve always been addicted to Charmed and magic. Yes, vampires get to live forever, they are beautiful and can control your mind, but I could never imagine myself sucking blood or sucking the life out of someone. I’d rather be a witch.

2) If you could change one thing about you, what would it be - if anything???

My metabolism. I wish I could eat and eat and eat and not get fat at all. I am jealous of people who could eat like there’s no tomorrow but still look so skinny effortlessly.

3) Would you rather live like a rock star or like a president? (in other words: fun or power?)

I’d rather live like a rock star. Singing happens to be one of my many passions on life. Music has a way of touching people, the messages, the words, I want to have an impact of people.

4) What's your favourite cartoon character???

Hmmm. I’m going to have to go with Pooh Bear. He is just so giddy and huggable.

5) What's your (most) guilty pleasure?

Does eating chocolates count? This is definitely a guilty pleasure for me, especially right now, I still have tonsillitis and I’m not allowed to eat any sweets and chocolates are a big NO NO NO. So, late at night when mom is asleep. I run over to my secret stash of chocolates! And I eat a bar or two. Then I go and brush my teeth and go to bed.

6) If you were a song, what would it be???

I would be “THROUGH THE RAIN” sung by Mariah Carey. I want to motivate people, to inspire people, to let them know that they can make it and to never lose hope. I would also be this song called “RAINBOW” , no not Mariah Carey’s Rainbow, but this was sung by a local group called South Border. Here’s a clip of this song's lyrics. I hope you guys take the time to listen and to be inspired.

7) What's your biggest dream?

I dream of being successful. I want to be able to share my success with others.

8) Do you prefer to be the one who asks questions or the one who answers them, and why???

Well, I’ve always been curious about a lot of things, so I think I prefer to be the one to ask questions. You can never have enough knowledge, so asking questions can be a good thing.

9) What is your biggest turn off and turn on? (God, I hope my English's ok and it means what I think it does).

Biggest turn off.. Well I have to list down a lot, as most of my long time followers know, I am a bit of an o.c. So biggest turn offs:

Body odor, dirty nails, unhygenic people.

Biggest turn on: I love a guy who smells gooddddddddddd. I also love someone who knows how to smile, someone who is friendly.

10) Have you ever broken any law?

Not yet... hehehehehe.

Ok, so now I'm tagging the following the people (oh and guys, you should definitely check out the blogs of those I'm tagging, they are definitely worth a visit). In no particular order, here they are:

Angel6033 from In Joy and Sorrow

RicAdeMus from Waiting for Wisdom

Wacky Jacky and Silly Willy

Johana Hill from The Mercurial Wife

Nikolett from Better Than Coffee

Mara from M Loves M

Nico from Blah

Myra from Life is Bananas

Meg from Curls and coffee

Rachel from It's Simple Love

And I'm tagging everyone who is reading my blog. Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Taken a Turn for the Worse

Hey guys. It's been about a week. My fever is gone. But I still have horrible neck pain, headache, my ears hurt and my throat hurts when I swallow. My eyes are swollen, it looks like I've been crying all week. Whenever I look in the mirror I definitely do not recognize the girl staring back at me.

I went to see my doctor yesterday and she's finally made her diagnosis. I have.... TONSILLITIS. What a pain! Ummm for those of you who might get grossed out easily you might want to jump over to my other perkier posts because this one is guaranteed to hit your gag reflex. Ok, you guys ready for this? I have these white patches all over my tonsils, no, actually it's covering most of my tonsils. What are these white patches? The doc says it's pus! Ewwww right?! Below is a picture of what tonsillitis looks like:

No guys, these are not my tonsils. Actually this doesn't even look as bad compared to mine. Because my tonsils are covered with white patches. The pain is killing me. My pain tolerance is pretty low and I have never felt anything this painful before. My patience is on the low too, I mean, lately I do get irritated quickly and I am just snappy. The doctor says I have to stay away from spicy food, chocolates, dairy products, cold drinks, sodas....Awww this are things I absolutely heart. But then again, with so much pain, I can hardly eat anything. Swallowing is just so painful.

My boyfriend is doing his best to cheer me up, we are having dvd marathons, most of them are funny movies and scary movies. But this doesn't take the pain away. Mom tries to make me as comfortable as possible also. Mom even suggested she'd take shopping. But, I have tried to stay indoors, I look so hideous right now that I just want to hide inside my room.

No more kisses from boyfriend. Well, he still kisses me on the forehead and on the cheeks. And he says I still look gorgeous. I told him, "You are only saying that because you're my boyfriend." hehehe...

So guys, I will be away from the blogosphere a little longer than I had thought. I do miss reading your blogs. I have my follow up check up with the doctor on Friday. I hope this pain goes away soon.

How are you? How is your weekend? I hope you guys have lots of fun for me. And post happy pictures on your blogs too. I love happy pictures.

Monday Morning Sickness LITERALLY

For those of you following me on twitter, you might recall that on Sunday I mentioned waking up to a stiff neck. Sunday was a lot of fun, I went to the zoo with my boyfriend. There were a lot of cute animals there. I spent the whole afternoon saying ooooo and awwwwww at all the cute little creatures.

It started pouring and we ran to the car soaked. It was fun... We felt like we were in an old romantic movie. Giggling and running hand in hand to the car while the rain poured down on us. As the sun disappeared and hours flew, before we knew it it was already night time. We had dinner together and had a dvd marathon in the living room. We were snuggled up on the couch watching comedy movies, scary movies and chick flicks.

Strange thing is, I cannot recall what was the last movie we saw last night. I woke up this morning (Monday morning) next to mommy in her room. I opened my eyes to a breakfast in bed composed of hot chicken noodle soup, tuna sandwhich and pineapple orange juice. I wasn't the only one who had breakfast in bed, mommy too. Hmmm... who prepared this? I doubt, it was our maid because she is too lazy to do something like this. I tried to get up but I had an awful headache and I felt sore all over.

(image from weheartit.com)

My phone started ringing and it was my boyfriend on the line. he asked me how my breakfast was and I told him it was lovely. And he said, I'm glad you enjoyed it. After breakfast, I literally forced myself out of the bed and showered. I was hoping after I showered I would feel refreshed but I still was not feeling well. I went downstairs and there was my boyfriend with a bouquet of pink roses. He kissed my forehead. Looks like, the whole breakfast in bed was his idea. And it was really sweet of him to include mom too. He took me to the doctor for a check up and to get a medical certificate (I had to call in sick from work). After the check up, boyfriend took me home. Since I was complaining of having aches and pains he suggested that I go for a massage. It would help relieve my tension and neck pains... I was too lazy to go out. 20 minutes after the door bell rang and I had gotten a home service soft massage. Oh that was amazing. It totally did wonders.

Oh if being sick means being pampered like this, can I just say that I LOVE BEING SICK! hehehehehe. I'll be home for 3 days trying to get some rest because of my on again off again high fever. Good thing is, I'll be able to check out your blogs. Boyfriend left this afternoon to go back to his hometown. It will be another week till I get to see him again.

I hope you guys all have a wonderful Monday.

Wacky Wednesday

This is definitely one wacky relay. It's a 7 minute video. If you want you can skip down the 4 minutes. That part is really funny. I feel so bad for the blue team. If I had to join a relay like that I would choose to be the first person. Because at least I won't have to worry about everyone else's saliva in my mouth. Poor last guy. I bet his mouth is swimming with everyone's spit. Lols. But really, if you see me in a video like that, do me a favor and slap me please. Hehehe. I wonder what the winners get out of this.

I hope you all have a happy wacky Wednesday. Cheers, we are a few days closer to the weekend! Woohoo!

P.S. Special thanks to everyone who helped me raise 1,270 points for the Children's Miracle Network. You are all such angels. You could still do your part to help the Children's Miracle Network, just click that first box to the right side of my blog. And lastly, don't forget to visit my other blog Bubble Tea With Misha Lee. Techie (or techie disaster) Mom Thursday

Well who would have thought that I'd be posting about mommy's internet failures once again. I thought she's finally learned her way around the net. But I'm afraid not.
Click on the image to biggify it. And check out the portion encircled in red.

Every now and then, I like to check out my friend's updates. So I decided to log into my account and check my mom's updates. Weird huh? Of all people, who's updates I could check out, I just suddenly had to check out my mom's....

So I checked out my mom's status update and well... Look at the picture below (click on it to biggify so you know what I'm talking about):

I'm so lost and confused. I yelled from across the hall, "Mom! Mommy..." And mommy came to my side. I asked her what was up with that. And she said, "Someone asked me what I was doing. And I replied. But that person never replied back to my message. I thought someone wanted to chat with me."

Ummmm ooookaaaayyy now. LOLS!

Geez... So after I explained to my mom about what that was, she was totally embarrassed and asked me to remove her stupid reply. lols. hahahahaha...

Well, this is not the first that she's had her techie encounters. She's had worse techie moments, read about it here. Definitely guaranteed to make you laugh.

Any of you who's got parents who are not so internet savvvyyyy? I'd love to hear about it.

P.S. If you haven't yet, please check out my other blog Bubble Tea With Misha Lee . And also, thanks to everyone who clicked on the first box I have to the right. Thank you for helping to raise funds for a cause that I really care about. Wishing you guys good karma times 10! Mwah!

Foolish Message From Beyond and A Small Favor

A couple nights ago mom's bestfriend sent her a text message saying that her mother had passed away. Her bestfriend's mom was like a second mother for her. Auntie as my mom called her, used to scold her for not eating her vegies, so whenever mom was over at their house she would always be fed vegies until she learned to love them. "Auntie" and mom used to text each other every now and then. Mom and her best friend talked and mom made plans to visit before the burial.

Last night, mom's cellphone alerted to a received message. Mom opened the message and it was from "AUNTIE" her best friend's mom who passed away. It said, "when are you coming over for a visit?" Mom did not reply. She got chills up her spine. After another hour, her cellphone beeped again, and another message from "Auntie" it said "Please come soon, I need you here".

So faster than the speed of light, mom sped on over to her best friend's house, bringing me with her. The trip to her best friend's house was eerie and quiet. When we got there, she hugged her best friend. They talked for a bit longer. Then mom's cellphone beeped again. Saying "thank you for coming" the message came from Auntie. Ok so mom really began to panic. She told her best friend about "AUNTIE" texting her from beyond.... Her best friend, teared up. Her best friend confessed, that it was her texting mommy from her mom's cellphone. Her mom's phone line was not cut yet and it was still being paid for, so she figured she might as well use it.

Poor mommy. April Fools! But sheeshhhh... old people play mean tricks!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! This Easter I felt old, but still had fun. I had a family get together, all the grown-ups (including myself) hid all the plastic easter eggs with chocolates and money inside. We hid them around the garden. I took charge of the easter egg painting and pin the tail on the rabbit. Oh boy, I miss these games. I also grabbed a couple crayons and plopped right next to one of my kid cousins who was coloring some pages from a coloring book.

This Easter I am missing:
I can never get enough of Peeps. Oh people from Peeps, if you are reading this, please make my Easter a happy one by sending me a couple packs of Peeps! We don't have this here. Boohoo...

Oh and another thing I would really really love right now:
Jelly Belly jelly beans are always sooooooooooo fun. You could mix and match one jelly bean with another jelly bean and you'd get a really fun flavor. Oh I miss this. Oh Mr. Easter Bunny please come my way and send me these goodies. Who needs Santa right now when I can have the Easter Bunny to send me these goodies. Nom Nom Nom...oink oink

Happy Easter! Mwah Mwah Mwah

The O.C. says WAITING IN LINE STINKS!

Whenever a long weekend is coming up the malls are always packed. Packed with cute kids and kids who run around as though they had just gotten out of the zoo. Then there are cute love birds who are soooo P.D.A (Public Display of Affection), please get a room!

Am I cranky much? Nah, not really, it's just you know, that time of the month! Blame it on the hormones! So anyhow, one thing I hate about shopping is waiting in line, lines that seem to be never ending and it doesn't help to see the poor cashier behind the counter who looks so frail and seems to be working at a slow mo speed. The lines at the grocery is really awful. There is no room left for personal space! I can practically feel the person behind me breathing against the back of my neck. Couldn't everyone be an arms width apart. So anyhow, I'm feeling like I'm in a can of sardines and the long line just seems to look longer from where I am standing.

Someone in front of me starts sneezing like a gazzillion times (if there is such a thing). So the air condition is placed somewhere overhead in front. And someone just sneezed. Great! Now all those little sneeze droplets is just flying into my nostrils. And to make matters even worse, some guy in front of me really stinks. I mean like he used onions as a deodrant kind of way stinks!

So what did this little O.C. do? Texted mom to get in line for me. Ran to the aromatherapy section and whiffed and fanned a couple scented sticks to get myself to feel better. That's mom to the rescue! On our way back to the car mom just had to comment, WAITING IN LINE STINKS! Literally speaking! lols. hehehehehe

What gets you guys grossed out? Something really visual like seeing someone barf, or does smell really get to you? Between the seeing something gross and smelling something gross I'd have to say smelly stuff really gets to me. All sorts of smell, like onion armpit smells, stinky feet gym socks smell, mouth barf smell, etc...You get the picture. Peeeyoooo!
