Eat Your Heart Out!

Last Friday was a TGIF moment. I had a wonderful time spent with my family over dinner. We went to a seafood restaurant. The food was amazing and the desserts totally ruined my diet.

Last Friday was such a blast. Good food, good company plus I had a small surprise. My friend got back from her Bangkok trip and she got me a cute little dress. How thoughtful! She said this was an early birthday present for me. I told her my birthday's not until July. Speaking of birthdays...Ugh.... I'm not looking forward to another birthday, being another year older scares me. For the mean time I am going to just enjoy the last few weeks of being one year younger than I will be by the 15th of July. =)

My little cousin who was having diarrhea told me she had a booboo... I asked her what's wrong and she said her butt was throwing up. hahahahaha. Kids say the darnest things!

I ran into an old co-worker earlier today. He looked so stressed out. I asked him how he was and he said, "I am H.I.V. Positive". My heart sank for him. My jaw dropped. And then he smiled and said..."Hair Is Vanishing Positively" and he points to his receding hairline. hahahahaha....

Inappropriate Crush

A few days ago my dear bloggy friend, Jewels Diva, had a blog post about Inappropriate Crushes. Jewels Diva always comes up with the most entertaining posts ever, so jumping over to her blog is definitely on my check list on a regular basis. So anyhow...back to the topic of inappropriate crushes. Twice or thrice a month a couple friends and I would have a get together session. These sessions consist of hanging out, going for a few cocktails, or sometimes just going down to the coffee shop for a short gab session. We usually go to lively places, places where they had local bands playing. After cocktail hour we tend to mellow up a bit and head off to the coffee shop. There was this band that plays acoustics. Everytime we hung out, wherever it was, this band was always there. 2 of my friends had a little crush on the lead singer. He was cute I suppose. He had a school boy charm to him. I guess I kind of had a little crush on him too, well I wasn't attracted to him, but I did like his voice. A guy who can sing definitely can sweep me off my feet.

So anyhow. After a while, the guy and his group of friends kinda just disappeared from the local music scene. ... Up until last last week. I don't have much time to watch tv here, since I'm so busy with work and reading your blogs (I can't help it, I'd much rather read your blogs than watch tv). My friends told me turn my tv on to a certain channel. And OHHHH EMMMM GEEEE... There was the lead singer that we all had a little crush on. Here's a couple videos of him singing (please watch at least one video for me. pretty please with cherry and chocolates on top. I promise it will be worth it.) Oh and another reason for you to watch it is, you have to check out the guy on the keyboard. He is so talented. Why? Well he has no arms, it's a must see. I get teary eyed watching him play live. =)








Ok so now, after watching one of these videos you must be asking why would the singer be an "inappropriate crush"? Well... well my dear... The singer happens to be a girl. Who would have guessed?! Karma's Bite!

A friend of mine who's got a very sharp tongue was running her potty sailor's mouth again. She was discussing how annoyed she was with one of the girls she works with. The girl she works with was just so "plastic" so she says. And no matter what good deeds this girl will do, this girl will never be on my friend's good side. Let's call this friend of mine Caroline. So Caroline was saying stuff like " I wish Annie would be struck by lightning,", "I wish Annie would get run over by a train" and so on and so forth. Blah blah blah.

All I did was listen to her while eating a yummy, sweet buttery, corn on a cob. Caroline helped herself to 1 corn on a cob. She got the biggest piece. As Caroline was eating her corn on a cob, her 2 dentures got stuck in the cob.Caroline's face when she saw the yummy corn on a cob.
Hey Santa, this girl has been bad, but I know she'll try to be nice. So please, all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth.


Caroline couldn't get her dentures back on. So she remained silent for the rest of our get together.

Karma really took a bite out of this situation.

Alive

Aloha everyone! If you're wondering, yes I am still alive. Special hello to my dear friend Nino who tweeted earlier saying that he missed my tweets. Hello dear! Oh and hugs to my bloggy buddy JewelsDiva for that awesome pressie she made for me, it was totally unexpected. Hello to my new followers, actually I was rather worried I might have lost a few followers since my absence from the blogosphere but to my surprise I have new followers. Hi everyone!

So where have I been in the past 2 weeks or so? I was in a state of pure bliss! As I mentioned in my previous post my brother was back in town. There's nothing like being together with my mom, brother and boyfriend. Some families are complete, you know, having a mom, dad and a sibling or two. Mine is composed of my mom and my brother. And for the 3 of us to be together again for 2 years (my brother moved to back to California 2 years ago), was just pure joy.

Sadly, my brother is now back in California. I hate saying goodbyes. I can't believe just a week ago he was still here with us. Now I'm seeing his face and talking to him from the computer. It hurts to be so far apart, but I guess it's a matter of how you view it. Instead of sulking and moping and being sad about him being away for so long again, I will take each day as a day closer to my brother's homecoming next year.
