I'm sure most of you, if not all of you probably have an account on Facebook. Am I right? or am I right? Well I just discovered a new pet peeve that I could very well add to my already long list of pet peeves.
Each of us may have skeletons in our closets but is there really any need to air that out on Facebook every freaking day? I have this friend who I will call as Nega (soooo NEGAtive). This person constantly posts negative status's on her Facebook wall. And then for some strange reason, she starts asking me why people keep talking about her, why people won't mind their own business. Well gee, I wonder why? It doesn't take a scientist to figure that out. If you air out your dirty laundry then everyone sees it and everyone talks about it. To make matters even worse, she constantly posts trash about her hubby for the whole world to see. One minute she is married, the next the status is "it's complicated" and then "single" and then married again. Block all future posts from this person, check!
Then there's the innocent looking girl who is just sooooo angelic. Then all of a sudden she is posting pictures of herself looking like she is modeling for playboy. Art is far different from trash. This angelic girl turned seductress starts whining about how guys are such pervies and everyone at her work place has now respect for her. Hmmm...I wonder why?
Another pet peeve of mine is the person who literally "collects friends". Do you really honestly know a bajillion people? People I went to school with added me on facebook, but I've never actually talked to these people. Then when I run into them somewhere, I smile and they just keep walking like they've never seen me in their life. Hmmm...weird.

i agree with ya!!! those are annoying, esp the friend collector one. I'm happy that every person i friend on fb i actually talk to. What is wrong with people today? have they no sense of etiquette, or even common sense?!?!? oh well. that's why im restraining my FB use. XP

People like Nega seem to think they should be exempt from how the world works. They will talk about other people in a second, but no one should talk about them. They should be able to post seductive pictures to get a reaction--but only the people they want to react should comment about it....anyone else is a perve for noticing. My wife used to laugh like crazy when Brittany Spears would complain about men looking at her. Gee, why were men doing that??? LOL!
I'm afraid my list of pet peeves is getting longer too. One I'm thinking about today is people leaving food scraps in the sink after rinsing off their dinner plate. Either put it in the trash can or rinse it down into the disposal, don't leave it sitting there in the sink.
Why does Mark Zuckerburg keep changing what was fine in the first place.
I understand he applies things people ask for, but we all didn't ask for it.
Who cares if you're single, married, broken hearted etc, just make your status private and get on with it.
Yeah facebook is a tricky thing. It can really make you question your friendship with someone when their fb page is just totally out of line with what you think of them!

What's even worse than the guy from high school that I wasn't friends with friending me on Facebook is the guy from high school that I wasn't friends with trying to chat with me on Facebook. Dude, I truly don't believe that I ever spoke to you in high school, and you want to know what I'm up to? And then when I mention that I'm finishing up dinner with MY HUSBAND you suddenly have to run? Fuck you, creepers.

There are too many irritating things on FB to count! Have you ever noticed that they try and tailor the advertisement bar on the right to things that they think you will like? I hate how stereotypical those are, yes I am a girl but NO I am not interested in waxing, thank you very much!

oh, facebook. if you need drama, just log on right? haha! I have those kinds of ppl on facebook too but the sad thing is, i don't have the balls to delete them because it might cause even MORE drama! hayyyyy!!! yes, i know the friend collectors too. The most annoying for me is that people with the same last name as me automaitcally think we're related and request me as a friend! i've had tons of them already and i know NONE of them!!! =S
P.S - sayang Mel!!! really wanted to meet you too but i'm sure we'll have our chance someday! I'll be back to the Philippines more often now that i'm getting married cus my hubby to be wants us to visit at least once a year or once every two years!
I totally know how you feel. I just don't understand why people pour so much emotion onto their FB page and expect people not to retaliate (in the way they want them to). lol.

I'm totally with you on the 'friend collector', I had a guy who made my life a living HELL in grade 7 and 8 by constantly teasing me suddenly adding me on Facebook years and years later after never talking. Needless to say, I ignored him hehe. Facebook is the devil sometimes lol

ohmygoodness! so true! one of my pet peeves are people who only post about how much money they have, what vacations they have just gone on, etc etc... no one cares!
ahh facebook is getting so annoying! people post every little detail about their lives..don't they know that anyone can see it? And so many girls post slutty pics and wonder why guys only want them for their body.

short answer...i have many pet peeves. to name them all would take all day.
i have a love/hate relationship with facebook - most of the time I just hate it though lol, especially the negative comments... at least there is a hide options though.
My biggest FB pet peeve is when people are constantly updating their statuses! Like, 10x a day! And they're usually just saying things like, "going to work now", "i'm at the gym, working out" or "going to sleep". I don't need to know your daily schedule!
I have so many more, but I fear that I won't have enough space for all of it. Haha!
facebook has always been ridiculous, but it has gotten so much worse over the years. people use it for stupid reasons like you're talking about. i really dislike the girls that think they're posting model type photos, but in reality they're just trashy.

Facebook makes me crazy! I hate the drama so much... but every time I think I'm ready to delete my profile I stop and realize that all the wonderful people I love and don't live close to would disappear. I suck at keeping in contact with people who aren't in my town... UGH! There really is no way to win...
But I have to say, I know EXACTLY what it's like to be "friends" with the girl who changes her status and marital status constantly... It's SUPER annoying!

This is all so true! Ive gotten rid of my facebook last december, manly for work related things, I want a job teaching and well gossip and drama is the last thing I want going for me, anyways it was tough getting rid of it at first cuz my family has it but now its nice cuz the people I talk to are the people I want to talk to! And I stay in contact with them for a reason! Ha ha....great post on that bs facebook stupids! You nailed it to the t!

So many things annoy me about facebook!! The only reason I use it is because it is an easy way to keep in touch with the many many people I've met travelling.. I'm using it less and less... and it seems to be a trend amongst a lot of my friends as well.. maybe it's had it's day??

you have totally read my mail on this one. facebook gets on my last nerve sometimes. here's my pet peeve about it: people bragging endlessly in their status updates. look at me going here, doing this, doing that--like it NEVER stops. after awhile it's sheer bragging and totally works my nerve.
i do not accept friend requests from everyone i ever might have gone to school with or crossed in the street either. it's such a joke, right? as IF they really want to be friends with me...they kinda never were!

It is so awkward to read people's relationship status. Like, "it's complicated?" Really? Do you really want the entire world (or all of Facebook, but I guess that's the same thing) that you're having relationship problems? Isn't that hard enough without having a bunch of random people asking about it?
Those things really bug me too. Like if you don't want drama and everyone to know everything don't post it all on facebook! I try to clean my facebook friend list every so often because really how many close acquaintances do you have at one time? I doubt it's 700! lol I also dislike when people have over 100 albums of their baby before the child is 1 year old! It's crazy!! :)

well, i have the fb account but since entering blogland it's kinda been left in the dust and i don't go on much anymore. girl, people like "Nega" give me the sads. wow that status change up needs to get checked at the door asap. the other "characters" have been witnessed too, maybe another reason why bloggerville looks better by the day ; )

Haha! This is one of the reasons why I have a lot of "friends" hidden on my other Facebook. I just can't take them. They just remind me why I haven't talked to them in years!!! :p
I think you just named all my pet peeves! haha. I do have one work friend who is constantly posting woe-is-me statuses about how lonely and depressed she is. and when she is not posting that, she is posting about how is is finally going to make a change in her life and follow her dreams, etc etc. her facebook has bi-polar disorder! suffice to say I rarely if ever comment on any of these posts because I don't want to encourage her to post more!
my other pet peeve? people touching my face and people eating my french fries. ha!

Oh my heck, this is SUCH a pet peeve of mine. It's funny how some people tend to think that everyone else wants to hear about all of the bad things happening in their life!

I don't like, when people post pics of themselves everyday, shot by their cellphone, always trying to look cute. Believe me, some do that every single day. Don't they have a life? Do they think we're so crazy about seeing their face every day? sheesh...
