Goodbye

No guys, I'm not saying goodbye to blogging. I could never do that. I love blogging way too much and I love reading your blogs just as much.

January 13, my brother flew back to California. Oh how I hate saying hello because I know goodbye will soon follow. The 3 weeks that my brother stayed with us went by way too fast. This time last week we were still together hanging out at the beach with mom, cousins, his fiance, and my boyfie. Funny, we've been doing this hello goodbye thing for 3 years now and I'm still not used to it. The pain of saying goodbye to my brother is always the same and just as painful every time.

My brother made a special treat for me and my mom. It was too cute to be eaten.
Lunch at my brother's favorite Chinese restaurant hours before his flight.

There is an emptiness in my heart. Video calls on Skype helps but it's not the same as having him here in person. I try to fill the emptiness with my excitement for July of this year. This July I will be back in California as well. I can't wait to see my brother, spend my birthday in California, and also witness my brother's wedding. Weeeee.... Till then....

Aww, darling, it's definitely hard having family members not frequently around and saying goodbye is the worst thing. These photos are so adorable! Hope that you cheer up soon :)

That special treat is so adorable! And I know what you mean about not being used to saying goodbye ... since my sister moved out to the west coast of Canada I've only seen her (and my niece) twice in two years. So excited for you to visit your brother in July! :)

It's hard to only visit with family for a short amount of time, but it sounds like you have a great trip planned for your birthday!

My sister is 13 years younger than I am but I am really close to her because I practically raised her until I moved out after high school. Now I am so far away from her it's so hard. So hear what you're saying. You never get used to it. :( but it's GREAT when they visit :)

I always hate when family gets far away. My brother got stationed in DC for about a year. Didn't get a chance to see him at all since he left. He came back later, but then he moved again, but only about 60 miles away.

Distance is always difficult. I haven't been that far away from my family yet but I know once I decide to move out of state I most likely won't see them much.
