Spoiled Brat

Sometimes it is okay to splurge. But why do I feel guilty when I go on a shopping spree? Honestly, it has been ages since I have gone shopping. Window shopping, I do on a weekly basis. But to actually shell out some cash and buy stuff nah. During my teen years I pretty much didn't really know the value of hard earned money, would buy anything that caught my eye without hesitation. Now a days, I've buried myself with work and bills to pay that I am pretty content just looking at the pretty displays on the racks.

The past week, mommy dragged me to go shopping. She insisted that sometimes it isn't about paying bills, sometimes we need to treat ourselves for all our hard work. So without further adieu here's some of the stuff I splurged on.

Bringing out the animal in me. Maxi skirt is definitely a summer must have.

Cute bracelets from Accessorize.

To thank my mom for pushing me to splurge I decided to whip something up for her. I woke up extra early to make her some Spicy, Cheesy, Beef Enchiladas.
nom, nom, nom. Anyone have any good enchilada recipes out there? I got my recipe from here. This recipe has been a hit, guaranteed no leftovers. =)

I was the exact same way about going shopping: I felt a little guilty about splurging even though I don't shop all that often. Like you, I recently picked up some fun colorful pieces!

Haha I was the same as you, when I got my first job in highschool. I went shopping every single day. I'm better but I'm still spluring here and there. Online shopping has becomes the hardest to overcome, so quick and easy! And that looks so yummy!

Oooooooh that first and second outfit are looooovely! Both so classy :)

And I feel your pain ;-) I'm limitting myself this year to only buying 1 new item each month. I'm still allowed to thrift and buy second hand, but it still hurts not getting to buy everything I like! Hehe.

Love your purchases!!

Ever since we bought a house my spending has been minimal because I feel guilty knowing the money could be going toward bills or savings for painting/renovations ... but if you constantly live like that you start to resent your house (or whatever it is you need the money for). Every now and then I buy myself a few nice things to make myself feel better :)
